It's finally release day for Finding Joy (Love's Compass: Book 5). Can you tell I'm excited? :-D Parker and Chelsea's story was a lot of fun to write and I can't wait to share it with all of you. I hope you love it as much as I do! Sometimes, what looks like a dead end, is really a new beginning. A horrific accident changed everything for Parker Wilson. Unable to find solid footing in his disrupted life, he returns to his family's ranch, a place he thought he'd left behind for good. The scars on his face are a daily reminder of all he's lost, yet his mom still insists he needs to stop hiding and live his life again. The beautiful new employee she hires is the last thing he needs, despite his mom's best intentions, and he'll do whatever it takes to make the girl quit and regain the peace and quiet he prefers. Nothing short of desperation would force Chelsea Blake to work on a local cattle ranch. But if she's going to avoid her parents' judgment when they arrive in three weeks, she must turn the temporary job into a permanent one. Between dodging mud, feeding longhorn cattle, and dealing with a handsome boss who keeps giving her the cold shoulder, staying gainfully employed is proving to be a challenge. Chelsea may not be cut out for ranch life, but her determination to succeed is stronger than Parker's efforts at forcing her to leave. Unprepared to discover all they have in common, if they set aside their initial dislike, they just might find joy beyond measure. There are a number of wonderful people who helped spread the word about Finding Joy. I'd love it if you'd pay them a visit! Gorecki Please join me in welcoming my friend, and USA Today Bestselling Author, Shanna Hatfield. She's sharing details about her latest release: A sweet World War II romance. I had the opportunity to read this book and it is absolutely beautiful. Rock and Miko's story will melt your heart and leave you with a romance you won't forget. Can forbidden love blossom amid the constraints of war? The moment the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, life shifted for Miko Nishimura. Desperate to reach the Portland Assembly Center for Japanese-Americans, she’s kicked off the bus miles from town. Every tick of the clock pushes her closer to becoming a fugitive in the land of her birth. Exhausted, she stumbles to her grandparents’ abandoned farm only to find a dying soldier sprawled across the step. Unable to leave him, she forsakes all else to keep him alive. After crashing his plane in the Battle of the Atlantic, the doctors condemn Captain Rock Laroux to die. Determined to meet his maker beneath a blue sky at his family home, he sneaks out of the hospital. Weary and half out of his mind, he makes it as far as a produce stand he remembers from his youth. Rather than surrender to death, Rock fights a battle of the heart as he falls in love with the beautiful Japanese woman who saves his life. A poignant, sweet romance, Garden of Her Heart proves love can bloom in unlikely places even under the most challenging circumstances. Don't miss out on this beautiful happy ever after. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1387228264628190/ Book Excerpt: Instead, her father stared at him and asked a single question. “Describe Miko in one word.” “One word, sir?” Rock asked, confused. “Yes. If you summed up everything about her in one word, what would it be?” Jack’s face remained impassive as he waited for Rock’s answer. Taken aback by his request, Rock’s thoughts splintered in a hundred directions. Only a few seconds passed before the word that floated through the maelstrom in his head gained clarity. “Hummingbird.” Baffled, both Shig and Jack stared in confusion. “Explain, please,” Jack said. Rock took a deep breath. “Before I was wounded, I was stationed in Trinidad, off Venezuela’s coast in the southern Caribbean. The area is a big melting pot of combined cultures — Creole, East Indian, Chinese, African. A great diversity of flowers and shrubbery grow there, and it offers more than four hundred different species of birds. But do you know what they call the island?” At the men’s interested looks, Rock continued. “Land of the Hummingbird. While I was there, I saw many of them. The islanders believe hummingbirds are symbols of all that is good and they carry joy wherever they go. Hummingbirds are fearless, determined, adaptable, and flexible. They possess the courage of a mighty lion and the magic of mythical fairies. Hummingbirds have boundless energy and endurance. Those little birds can make the most difficult journey seem like a simple matter, and they are loyal, devoted to the garden they claim as their own. They are fiercely independent, but those who accept that can long enjoy the beauty and wonder of those amazing little winged fellows.” Jack’s mouth quirked upward and he bit back a smile. “So you’re saying Miko is like a demented bird who wants only to suck the sweetness out of life?” USA Today Bestselling Author Shanna Hatfield writes character-driven romances with relatable heroes and heroines. Her historical westerns have been described as “reminiscent of the era captured by Bonanza and The Virginian” while her contemporary works have been called “laugh-out-loud funny, and a little heart-pumping sexy without being explicit in any way.” Convinced everyone deserves a happy ending, this hopeless romantic is out to make it happen, one story at a time. When she isn’t writing or indulging in chocolate (dark and decadent, please), Shanna hangs out with her husband, lovingly known as Captain Cavedweller. Find Shanna’s books at:

Her new book, A Christmas Homecoming, was just released a couple of weeks ago and already has some great reviews on Amazon. I don't know about you, but once October comes along, I'm ready to start reading some heartwarming Christmas books. This one is definitely on my TBR list for this year. Kimberly, thanks so much for being my guest today! hanks for hosting me, Melanie. I’m thrilled to be able to share about my latest Christmas book with your readers. A Christmas Homecoming is the second book in my Sunriver Dreams series, but it easily stands alone. I especially love this series because of the setting. My family and I have been to Sunriver for vacations many times and have a lot of fond memories. In fact my youngest started walking there at eight months old. Here is the back cover description for A Christmas Homecoming. Can the mystery of Christmas unite two hurting hearts? Bailey Calderwood gives all she has to her job as an interior design assistant, but her best isn’t good enough for her demanding, bed-ridden boss. For some unexplained reason Mona has turned against her. At least not everyone is out to get her. A mysterious admirer is sending her cards and flowers. Could it be her boss’s son who’s recently returned home in time for the holidays? Stephen Belafonte rushes home from France to be with his mother after her stroke, and is surprised by the rift between his mom and Bailey, her assistant. When his mom demands he fire Bailey, he’s torn between respecting his mother’s wishes and doing what’s best for the family business. Can Stephen find a way to heal the rift in his family as well his own heart, or will he be forced to let Bailey go? I hope you enjoyed this teaser. I know it’s a little early to be thinking about Christmas but since this is a Christmas book, I’m going there. :-) Do you have a favorite Christmas memory? Kimberly’s books can be found on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2autVLe Would you like to join her Facebook group? http://bit.ly/2b1Obp6 Check out her website at www.kimberlyrjohnson.com and sign up for her newsletter. Your book sounds great, Kimberly. And the cover looks like so much fun! As for a favorite Christmas memory, I don't think I could narrow it down to just one. I love the smell of ham cooking, Christmas cookies, and carols playing. As a kid, I loved opening an early gift on Christmas Even because it meant new pajamas to sleep in. I think, most of all, the best part of Christmas has always been the atmosphere of love, anticipation, and family. Kimberly and I would love to hear about some of your favorites memories! Hello everyone! I'm excited to have my friend and fellow author, Franky, here on my blog with her new release, Emma's Match. I had the opportunity to read an early copy of her book and it's so much fun. If you enjoy chick lit and a good romance, you'll love this book.
About the Book
Emma Wallace has a plan up her sleeve to save her struggling design business, but not a clue what do to about the man who has her heart.
Stealing a kiss from Will Knight years ago ended in an embarrassment she didn’t want to repeat. But when a popular new designer in town starts taking her clients and has eyes on Will, too, Emma decides it’s time to fight for what she wants. The perfectly irritating designer she wants to shove into a hole isn’t the only one who can be down-to-earth and likeable. After all, Emma’s never failed at anything...except walking the line between friendship and love. Crossing it again could mean losing Will’s friendship for good.
Book Excerpt
With a sigh, I take a notepad and pen from my purse and scribble on the paper for a moment.
How does one compete with the woman who can do everything and warms everyone’s hearts in the process? People are lining up for her design services, not mine. I don’t make homemade crafts out of used goods, or know how to shoot a gun, or make my own curtains… Of course, I’m also not desperate enough to follow Will wherever he goes. Nevertheless, it may be time to make some change in my life. I scribble out my list of goals. 1. Learn PowerPoint and how to make a killer client presentation with it. 2. Buy jeans. Wear them for at least twelve hours. Around other people. 3. Learn how to shoot a gun. And don’t freak out. 4. Visit a dollar store. 5. Take a sewing class. Maybe learn how to make curtains? 6. Go camping. For real. Maybe these things would help me gain some useful perspective. Trying new things is definitely something my mother never did.

Sandy Nadeau's second novel released June 1, 2016 and is a Christian romance that deals with overcoming fear and unfounded guilt. Steve has to come to terms with feelings of guilt; while Ronnie has to deal with her fear of losing someone which won't allow her to love again. Get ready for some exciting adventures in the Colorado foothills and ride along with the firefighters and rescue workers. You'll experience a taste of mountain life and fall in love with the characters. Risking her life to save him is easy. Risking her heart to give him a second chance is impossible. After all, life is an adventure! Sandy's first novel is an adventurous mystery. The title Red Gold continues to gain in popularity. It won the Clash of the Titles competition in April of 2014. Set at a guest ranch in the Colorado mountains, Mandy risks her life to save the life of a young guest at the ranch and solve the mystery of the Red Gold. First Responder Ronnie Spencer has a no-dating firefighters rule. She lost her father to a fire, and won't risk the heartbreak of losing someone else. But when Steve McNeal returns, Ronnie's heart is tested. How can she swear-off dating a firefighter when she has to work with the one man she used to love? When the unthinkable happens, Ronnie has doubts. How can a loving God allow tragedy to stalk her life again? As her faith wavers, Ronnie must decide. Will their blossoming relationship be quickly extinguished by the very thing she feared, or will Ronnie trust God and allow her heart to be rescued—even if that means giving it to a firefighter? Sandy Nadeau loves to go on adventures, photograph them and equally loves to write about them. She and her husband did a lot of four-wheeling in the back country of Colorado and shared those experiences with others by taking them up in the mountains. Her writing experience includes a community news column in a small newspaper for twelve years, magazine articles and two novels with adventure, mystery, romance, but most importantly sharing God’s love. She is currently a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers. Married for 39 years, she and her husband are loving life as grandparents to their two grandchildren (and another due at the end of August) after the big move to Texas. Travel is their favorite thing to do and they don’t get to do it as often as they’d like. Adventure awaits around every corner, over every hill and mountain. I would like to introduce you to Peggy McAloon. Peggy is a fellow author who writes fantasy books for children ages 9 - 18. Please welcome her as she tells us more about her books and what inspired her to write them. Don't forget to enter the giveaway below as well! I want to thank Melanie D. Snitker for giving me the opportunity to reach out to you and tell you a little about my new release, “Missing”. This is the second book in the “Lessons from Fiori” series about Elle Burton, a young girl from Wisconsin, who is chosen to be a guide to the winged creatures from the dimension of Fiori. These winged creatures protect Earth’s children. They breathe the first breath of life into a newborn child and stay with the child until their eighth birthday. Elle is the child I always wanted to be. I grew up in a small agricultural town in the Midwest during the 1950’s. It was a time when anything was possible. We were racing to put a man on the moon. Walt Disney was changing our world, and incredible fantasy books were being published that could ignite a child’s imagination. Life should have been so perfect, but there is a dark secret in the lives of so many children. The abuse I suffered at home simply made me a perfect target for the bullies at school. Wilson Memorial Library became my escape. I checked out numerous books each week and disappeared into incredible new worlds, while pretending to be the protagonist in each new book I opened. When I read the last pages of the final book for the week, I would close my eyes and pretend to be a young girl assisted by winged creatures (much like fairies, but who acted more like guardian angels) to help kids who were much like me. That is how Elle Burton was born. It has been my dream to write a delightful series to inspire kids to have a kind heart and to empower them to find help if they were in trouble or to help others in need. You will delight in the dimension of Fiori as you fly over the huge fields of flowers on the back of Pegasus. You will be astounded at the difference kindness can make in the lives of the kids in the books and find yourself rooting for the class bully to become a better person. Giveaway I have told Melanie that I will personally sign and mail off three copies of the newly released book, “Missing” to her readers. To enter, comment below on your favorite fantasy book as a child. Your name will then go into a drawing to receive one of the three free books. Good luck, and may Elle bring hope to the children in your life! Releasing a new book into the world is one of my favorite things about being an author. After months of writing, editing, and even more editing, I finally get to share the polished result with all of you. Today, Safe In His Arms is officially available on Kindle and in paperback! She has two beautiful daughters, two amazing son-in-laws, and one awesome grandson. She plays piano, flute, harmonica, keyboards, and guitar, and loves composing and art. And she hates housework. She has been a dentist in private practice for thirty years. She stays busy playing on her church's praise team and leading a weekly Bible study. In her spare time, she writes books. Tamie specializes in writing “clean’ books without excessive violence, offensive language, or explicit sex. She has published a Romantic Comedy series called The Best Girls, which includes a free novella and four full-length novels, and recently published her first Christian Romance, Noelle’s Golden Christmas. She has also published the two books in a Young Adult Fantasy series, Alora: The Wander-Jewel, and Alora: The Portal. To combine her love of music with her writing, Tamie composed the background music for the Alora Series video trailer and a Christmas song, which is linked in the back of Noelle’s Golden Christmas. Her latest book, A Rose in Bloom, a romantic comedy serial story, is available for pre-order and will be released March 13. Tamie met her husband as a freshman in college when she acted out of character on a whim. One night in the library lobby, she spied a cute guy with his first name written on the back of his shirt. She called out his name. When he approached to talk to her, she pretended that she'd met him before, asking about his classes and how he liked college. To her surprise and delight, he also pretended that he knew her, but of course he didn't know her name. They continued this false relationship for two months. Each time they saw each other, an event that occurred three times per week at the cafeteria, he would pretend he knew her. Meanwhile, all of Tamie's friends were careful not to reveal her name to him. When he finally admitted his ignorance of her name, he was astonished to learn the truth. And the rest is history. None But You is out today and I hope you'll pick up a copy for yourself! Anna never expected to see Erick Walsworth again. Especially while having to watch a perfect girl like Piper Ashley hang on his arm. With circumstances throwing them together and a best friend insisting on playing matchmaker, Anna can’t escape the one question she fears most: What happens if she can’t convince her first love to give her a second chance? None But You is a clean, romantic chick lit novel with a nod to Jane Austen's Persuasion. I'm excited to have Author L. R. W. Lee on my blog today. I haven't read these books yet, but they're definitely on my TBR list. They look amazing and the reviews speak for themselves. JUST RELEASED! Now he must ask a griffin for one of its talons. There’s just one problem…humans have poached griffin treasure, causing these mythical creatures to attack on sight. Complicating matters, the evil Abaddon, sovereign of Oomaldee’s northern neighbor, is turning more and more citizens into zolt in his ongoing campaign of terror as he sets in motion the final steps of his plan to conquer the land. Things really start to heat up in book five! If you loved Harry Potter, you’ll love the Andy Smithson series chalk full of mythical creatures, newly invented animals like zolt, herewolves, and therewolves, a complex plot with evolving characters, and positive themes including responsibility, diligence, dignity, friendship and more. ABOUT THE AUTHOR L. R. W. Lee credits her love of fantasy with her introduction to C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Later on, she enjoyed the complex world of Middle Earth brought to life by J. R. R. Tolkien in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The multiple dimensions of the worlds mixed with a layer of meaning, captivated her and made her desire to invent Young Adult Fantasy and Epic Fantasy worlds others could get lost in, but also take meaning away from. More recently, L. R. W. Lee has found inspiration from J. K. Rowling and her Harry Potter series as well as Brandon Mull and his best selling Fablehaven, Beyonders and Five Kingdoms series. L. R. W. Lee writes to teach her readers principles that can transform their lives – overcoming frustration, impatience, fear and more. She also shows why responsibility, diligence and dignity are the keys to true success in life. She lives in scenic Austin, TX with her husband. Their daughter is a Computer Engineer for Microsoft and their son serves in the Air Force. I'm very excited that Debbie Brown's new novel, Snow Job, has been released and I know that her fans have been waiting on the edge of their seats for it. Known for her Amethyst Eyes series, Snow Job is sure to become a favorite among her readers. Here's what the book's about: When NY divorce lawyer, Sarah Lindquist, stepped out of her office to clear her mind before her next client showed up, the last thing she expected was to come to in the middle of the Colorado Rockies, with two park rangers standing over her. The ex-military rangers are convinced someone wants her out of the way, but how do they find out who, without putting her life at risk and letting that 'someone' know they've missed the target? I'll bet that's enough to pique your interest. But if you need more convincing, reading the first few pages should do it. Debbie does an incredible job of taking the reader and immediately connecting them with character Sarah Lindquist. What does this accomplish? When I read about Sarah waking up in the middle of nowhere out in the Colorado Rockies, I felt like it was happening to me. From that point on, the book was a page turner and having to put it down to tend to "real life" was anything but easy. The characters in this book are incredibly well developed and memorable. The details and personalities of each of them adds to the story and makes it all the more complex. The story itself is one of suspense with a good mystery thrown in. From the first pages until the end, Debbie has created an amazing tale that kept me wondering what was going on. Who's trying to kill Sarah? Why are they targeting her? By the end, you're left with a book that you'd happily pick up and read again. This is one of those books I can see made into an action/suspense movie in the future. Well done, Debbie! You can purchase Snow Job at the following: Amazon US | Amazon UK | Barnes & Noble | Kobo Google Play | Smashwords | iBooks CreateSpace | Paperback About the Author: All her life, Debbie has spun stories in her mind, watching the characters come to life. After working as a nurse, teacher, martial arts instructor, artist, and CIC officer in the Canadian military, her life reads like a story itself. Since graduating from the Institute of Children’s Literature, she is finally devoting herself to writing these stories down and taking us all on a ride we won’t quickly forget. Author Lisa Belcastro's new novel, A Dream for Love, is available today!

Her life and Gracie's depend on it. Ryan has a past, and present, that's been food for public consumption for over a decade. Will the past deprive them of a future? Or will they dare to dream a dream for love?
My Review
This was a fun romance novel with some suspense and mystery thrown in. I immediately liked Laurel and her daughter, Gracie. Both are very real characters that I could relate to. I was excited for her dream vacation and felt it was something that Laurel was more than due for.
Gracie, especially, kept me smiling. I have a four-year-old daughter myself and she and Gracie could have been twins. Every time I read about something Gracie did or said, I found myself nodding because that's exactly how my daughter would have reacted. Loved it! I enjoyed the way the author introduced Ryan and gradually worked to help the reader get to know him. She managed to remind us of his ties as an actor but didn't focus on his time on set, which I liked. I felt like the first couple of chapters were a touch slow, but the book was worth it. The story moved along well and I liked how the author developed the personalities and backstories of Laurel and Ryan as they get to know each other. While I had some suspicions as to what might be going on in Laurel's past, the author still kept me holding my breath until the end. If you enjoy a good romance novel with a great story line and well-developed characters, you'll be glad you read A Dream for Love. I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. I was given an advanced reader's copy for my honest review of this book.
